Sunshine and Flip Flops

The Lord must have known I needed a good dose of sunshine. It felt like spring today. Although I am quite sure winter is over, it was certainly a blessing to feel the warmth of the sun on my shoulders today and just let it seep into my bones right down to my little toesies. It was wonderful. It has been cold and dreary and gray so I sang songs of joy to God for this small peek into spring. He knows I hate cold. As I was out and about today doing some shopping, I heard this little girl in Target say mom look flip flops. Of course my brain is thinking it is early February how can there be flip flops out now? I mean for goodness sake it is cold out. Now being the curious one I am I decided I would take a peek around the corner and see for myself. The thought of flip flops makes me giddy as it means summer is on the way. I love flip flops. Low and behold there stood the little girl holding not one but one of every kind of flip flop in her hands. I had to giggle...a girl after my own heart. I would be like how can I choose? So take one of each. She of course had to put a few back much to her dismay but she did pick the cutese ones. They sparkled. Of course they have swimsuits out now too. I for one have never understood why stores do that. It is winter out and we here in the Midwest are not thinking swimming but then of course there is the dream of summer with swimsuits, sunshine, and of course lots of flip flops. So as I giggle my way through the rest of the evening, I hope you had a beautiful day as well. If nothing else go to Target and dream of flip flops and painted toesies. I know I will.
